Connect Discord to memberships

Connect your Discord server to Passes and automatically give fans access to the right Discord roles based on their memberships. ## How to connect Discord to Passes 1. In the navigation bar, click **Integrations**. 2. Click **Add Integration**. 3. Select **Discord**. 4. Give your integration a clear name (e.g., 'VIP Discord Access') - especially helpful if you plan to set up more than one. 5. Click **Connect your Discord**. 6. Log into the Discord account that manages your server. **Before you start:** You'll need an existing Discord server. Create one first if you haven't already. ## Set up the Passes Bot in Discord After connecting your server, you'll see instructions to get the Passes Bot configured. 1. Open your Discord server. 2. Click the server name (top-left) > **Server Settings**. 3. Go to **Roles**. 4. Drag the **Passes Bot** role above any roles you want linked to memberships - this is critical for everything to work. 5. Head back to Passes and click **Refresh Roles**. ## Attach memberships to Discord roles 1. In Passes, click **Attach Membership** under your Discord integration. 2. Choose which memberships should grant Discord access. 3. Assign a Discord role to each membership. **Heads up:** If you add new roles in Discord later, make sure the Passes Bot is still positioned above them, then hit **Refresh Roles** in Passes to sync everything. You can edit, disconnect, or remove your Discord integration anytime under **Creator Tools** > **Integrations**. ## FAQ ### Do I need a Discord server first? Yes - create your Discord server before setting up the integration in Passes. ### I don't see my Discord server. What should I do? Double-check that you're logged into the correct Discord account and that you have admin permissions on the server. ### How do I move the Passes Bot role? In Discord, go to **Server Settings** > **Roles**, then drag the Passes Bot role above the others. ### What if I add or change roles in Discord? Make sure the Passes Bot role stays above any new roles, then click **Refresh Roles** in Passes to update the connection.
