Tax Forms for $600+ Earnings (W-9 vs. W-8BEN)

A **W-9** and **W-8BEN** are tax forms required for creators who earn **$600 or more** through the platform. These forms help Passes report earnings to the appropriate tax authorities and ensure compliance with tax regulations. ## W-9 form (U.S. creators) The **W-9** tax form is required for US creators to accurately report income earned on Passes, in compliance with tax regulations. If you earn **$600 or more** in a calendar year, you must submit a **W-9** to receive a **1099** tax document for tax filing. 1. Go to **Settings** > **Payout**. 2. Select **W-9 / W-8BEN Form** 3. Click **US citizens** tab and complete the appropriate form. 4. Ensure all information is accurate to avoid delays. If you have specific tax-related questions, we recommend reaching out to a tax professional or accountant, as we are unable to provide tax advice. ## W-8BEN form (non-U.S. creators) The **W-8BEN** form is for creators outside the U.S. to certify their foreign tax status and report income earned on Passes. This form determines if any tax withholding applies to your earnings. Without a completed **W-8BEN**, higher tax withholding rates may be applied. 1. Go to **Settings** > **Payout**. 2. Select **W-9 / W-8BEN Form** 3. Click **Non- US citizens** tab and complete the appropriate form. 4. Ensure all information is accurate to avoid delays. If you have specific tax-related questions, we recommend reaching out to a tax professional or accountant, as we are unable to provide tax advice.
